OneUP Sales, a UK-based platform aimed at helping businesses manage and boost their sales teams, has raised £2.25M in funding. The funding round included participation from MEIF Proof of Concept & Early Stage Fund, managed by Mercia as part of Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF), as well as Mercia’s EIS funds. This funding will allow the company to enhance its current product and launch a commission management solution later this year. The solution will simplify the calculation and management of sales commissions for salespeople. Furthermore, OneUP Sales plans to use the funding to create new jobs for the upcoming year.
Founded in 2016, OneUP Sales has gained popularity among UK companies by helping manage and motivate sales personnel.
The platform aims to improve salesperson accountability through enhanced reporting and friendly competition while celebrating successes. It also integrates with nearly 30 different customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and counts more than 250 UK companies among its users. These include companies within the recruitment industry such as Recruitment Entrepreneur, Xcede, Investigo, and Premier Group.
The startup was created by two former game developers, Derry Holt and James Heath. It has raised a total of £3M from Mercia and MEIF, after two earlier funding rounds totaling £750,000. With 36 employees currently on staff, OneUP Sales appears to be on an upward trajectory, with plans to expand and improve their product offerings over the upcoming year.
