Founded by John-Pierre Clark, a London-based entrepreneur with a background in launching, scaling, and exiting tech businesses, Startupmag.co.uk is built on experience and driven by a simple goal: to help founders and investors connect more meaningfully.

John-Pierre Clark is a UK/French entrepreneur with a track record of building and selling online businesses. He launched his first startup, a UK FX lead generator, in 2004 (sold in 2006), followed by the French finance comparison site ArgentMag (sold in 2013), and later HelloPret.fr, a digital mortgage broker (exited in 2018).
You'll find that JP tries to be very hands-on with everything here — from coding the site, to answering support emails and trying to fix bugs (please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any issues).
We know the early-stage grind — the late nights, the pitch decks, the endless research to find clients and make connections with investors. That’s why we built Startupmag: to take some of that load off your plate and give you what you need, faster.
We're not a VC firm, an agency, or a generic directory. We're a real platform run by real people who care about startups and are here to support yours.
Whether you're searching for your next investor, your next partner or just exploring the UK startup scene, Startupmag.co.uk is here to help you move forward.
