Bowmark Capital, a London-based mid-market private equity firm, recently announced the successful closing of its flagship fund, Bowmark Capital Partners VII, at £900M. The impressive fund received support from 31 institutional investors, with nearly half of the capital originating from Continental Europe, followed by North America with 37%, the UK with 7%, and the remaining 8% from other countries. Among these investors, pension funds contributed 32% of the capital, insurance companies 21%, funds-of-funds 20%, other financial institutions 17%, and endowments, foundations, and family offices 10%.
With its latest fund, Bowmark Capital will continue its well-established approach of actively investing in high-quality, high-growth businesses within four core areas of the technology sector: data and insight, managed IT services, software, and technology-enabled business services.
This strategy has proven to be successful for the firm in the past and has positioned them as a prominent player in the industry.
In addition to Bowmark Capital Partners VII, the firm also manages Bowmark Growth Partners, a fund that focuses on smaller companies. With the closing of their flagship fund, Bowmark now has more than £1 billion in available capital for new investments. This significant financial backing will undoubtedly provide the firm with ample opportunities to identify and nurture promising businesses in the technology sector, further strengthening Bowmark's position as a leader in the private equity landscape.
