These include SoftBank, Ally Bridge Group, Cambridge Innovation Capital, Escala Capital, LGT, Lightrock, RPMI Railpen, Tencent, and Watrium. The company plans to use the funds to continue innovating its products, develop new technologies, and further expand its presence in existing and new markets. One of the key offerings of CMR Surgical is its surgical robotic system called VersiusĀ®.
This system gained CE approval in 2019 and has since been installed in over 140 hospitals globally. These hospitals are located in various regions, including the UK, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Currently, more than 15,000 procedures have been conducted using this system. The VersiusĀ® system has been adopted by renowned research hospitals such as Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Institute Curie, Policlinico di Milano, Max Super Specialty Hospital, Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), Hospital Moinhos de Vento, Gleneagles Hospital, and Klinikum Chemnitz GmbH.
The versatility of the VersiusĀ® system is evident in the wide range of procedures it has facilitated. These include colectomies, hernia repairs, hysterectomies, sacrocolpopexies, and lobectomies, spanning across seven different surgical specialties. It has proven effective in performing more than 130 complex and benign procedure types.
