Hurr, a London, UK-based fashion rental platform, has raised an impressive $10M (£7.9M) in funding so far. This latest round of funding saw participation from Praetura Ventures, who led the round, as well as existing investors including Octopus Ventures, Ascension, and D4 Ventures. Founded in 2019 by Victoria Prew, Hurr offers a unique combination of a peer-to-peer marketplace and a white-label SaaS solution, allowing fashion lovers to rent high-end items from top brands like Ganni and Mulberry.
With a focus on democratizing luxury fashion and reducing its environmental impact, Hurr has quickly gained traction and now powers over 130 brands.
Its innovative platform has attracted major retail partners such as John Lewis, Selfridges, Matches, and Flannels. By partnering with these established retailers, Hurr is filling the gap in the market and offering consumers a sustainable way to access the latest designer fashion.
Hurr's success can be attributed to its seamless user experience, expansive brand offerings, and commitment to sustainability. Through its intuitive platform, users can browse and reserve clothing and accessories, selecting the perfect items for their upcoming events or everyday wear. With the fashion industry being one of the biggest contributors to global waste, Hurr's rental model provides a more responsible way of enjoying fashion without the need for ownership.
