Isometric, a London-based provider of a carbon removal registry and science platform, has raised $25M in Seed funding. The funding round received participation from Lowercarbon Capital and Plural, as well as angel investors Niklas Zennström (founder of Skype), David Helgason (founder of Unity Technologies), Ross Mason (founder of MuleSoft), and Ilkka Paananen (founder of Supercell). Ryan Orbuch from Lowercarbon Capital has joined Isometric's board as part of the funding. The company plans to use the funds to expand its team of scientists and engineers and further develop its public registry for verified credits.
Isometric, led by Founder and CEO Eamon Jubbawy, offers a carbon removal registry and science platform that enables suppliers, buyers, and the academic community to accelerate the development of rigorous protocols.
The company has recently launched its platform, which features early data from various companies working towards durably removing carbon from the atmosphere. Isometric is also in the process of building a carbon registry that will only list fully verified, delivered credits from long-duration carbon removal suppliers. This registry will be publicly accessible later this year.
The funding received from this Seed round will allow Isometric to strengthen its capabilities in addressing the critical issue of carbon removal. By expanding its team, the company will be able to enhance its platform and provide more comprehensive solutions for suppliers and buyers. Additionally, the development of a carbon registry will ensure transparency and reliability in the carbon removal sector. With the support of notable angel investors and the expertise of its board members, Isometric is poised to make a significant impact in the quest for sustainable carbon removal processes.
