The official carbon labelling partner of Just Eat, My Emissions has announced its over-subscribed £1.3m Seed Round. The round was led by Hambro Perks, and supported by Love Ventures, the angel syndicate Raspberry Ventures, and industry angel investors. The recently announced Forbes 30 under 30 2024 Founders Matthew Isaacs and Nathan Bottomley, established My Emissions in 2021 to decarbonise the food sector, which currently represents 1/3 of global GHG emissions.
My Emissions is a London based tech start-up that addresses the need for food companies to affordably measure emissions of individual products and accurately report their annual scope 3 emissions.
The platform reports at an unparalleled speed, primarily through its integrations with existing recipe management, inventory management and POS systems, so food companies can focus on their reduction strategy. My Emissions’ methodology aligns to the GHG Protocol and was presented to DEFRA’s food data transparency partnership in December 2023 to help set the standard for emissions reporting and eco-labelling in the UK.
My Emissions is the official carbon labelling partner of Just Eat and has run multiple carbon labelling trials on the Just Eat and Just Eat for Business platforms. My Emissions is soon to announce further national and international partnerships in 2024. Other users of the platform include The FSC Group (with whom they carbon label the food-to-go range at Waterstones Cafe), AB World Foods, Selfridges, and the Good Eating Company (part of Sodexo Group).
